KJS can take you through each step to get your permits plans ready for your town and your construction documents in order for your contractor. Here's how:

1. First, we visit you at the work site. While there, we take the measurements needed for your as-built and we discuss your plans and ideas for the space.

2. Next, we draft your as-built back at our office and start incorporating your changes.

3. We send you a digital package which will include, depending on the project, a layout plan, elevations and a few 3D renderings so you can get a really good idea of what this will all look like when it's finished.

4. You'll have the opportunity to make additional changes or to request that we draft up a different version for you to consider. This design phase is not complete until you say you are completely happy with the changes!

5. Once you are all set with the new design, KJS will put it through a final code review to make sure the structure will pass all applicable building codes and then send you, depending on the project, a digital package containing permit plans, construction documents and 3D renderings for Zoning, if required.  You will also receive a printed package of permit plans (the number required by your town), 3 sets of construction documents and 1 print of each 3D rendering (usually 4X6).

6. KJS will have an architect stamp the final construction documents for you, if you wish, or you can have any architect you choose stamp the drawings.
